Welcome to ModelTrains.org!

I originally intended ModelTrains.org to be a community portal where fans of model railroading could come to talk about their favorite hobby. I envisioned people sharing ideas, discussing new modeling techniques and showcasing their own model pikes. It was a grand vision that never saw the light of day.


Instead of a portal I decided to use the domain as a personal weblog showcasing my own model efforts. The site was active for quite a while, but the content was lacking. Changes in my daily life left little room for modeling, so there was little to post about. I was still buying and collecting items for my layout, but that layout didn't exist yet. This meant no construction photographs, no modeling techniques and no videos of running trains.
